Great Cantonese style Chinese food.  Food is always great and delicious.  Staff is attentive and friendly.  Best Soy Sauce chicken around.  All of their salt and pepper items are always a favorite.

My parents owned this place from 1976 until they retired (I can't recall what year that was but somewhere around the 30 years in the business timeframe). My dad's sister owned it prior to them. For those that have been coming here for years Sammy is my dad. The restaurant was run by a relative after my parents retirement and not too long ago was reopened by a former waitress. For the stuff I like the place is just as good as it's ever been. Every few weeks I come by and get the crispy chicken, Chinese broccoli, broccoli beef, and chow mein. They added some bean drinks and other items and have spruced up the place and happy that the new owners are doing well and keeping this great authentic Chinese restaurant a staple in Sacramento. I've added a photo of my dad at the restaurant recently who still swings by the restaurant for food.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I ever had. 😋 The fish porridge is awesome. Miss the old owners. They were my friends. The waiter was very kind.

When I need some soul food  I have to go to Far East Cafe Im always  happy and they always get it right I hate telling people about this place cuz I don't want nobody else in my spot when I go to visit 😃🤗😊

Place has fast service, tasty food, and decent prices. Parking is usually good in front or on the side lot. Also, you may recognize some of the waiters from Regent restaurant which closed in the pocket area. Always great for either eat-in or take-home.

Our waiter didnt understand our plain english. We would ask for something and he would sternly say"No" and then bring it anyways.  Made us laugh. We got everything we asked for. Food was good.

My family and friends have been going to Far East Cafe for over 40 years. It's the best neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Yes, they are on the 3rd ownership, but they have pretty much kept everything the same since the original owner Sam sold it. The staff pretty much know me, we held my mom's funeral lunch there, that was one of her favorite places. She loved the deep fried flounder. I would take her there at least twice a week for dinner.
